Lessons life gave me.
Each of these paintings comes from something I had to go through personally. Ideas in my head that I had to question, change, or let go of. Emotions I had to learn how to feel, accept, and understand.
They are little pillars of my experience in this world. Things life taught me, sometimes gently and sometimes not. Concepts that, in a way, I painted because I needed to remember them myself.
Freedom. Love. Pleasure. Acceptance. Time. Grace. Learning how to exist inside my own life without constantly fighting against it.
For me, art starts from the need to express something. A feeling, a thought, a moment of life that needs somewhere to go.
They are deeply personal to me, but at the same time, very human.
